The 32nd Spartathlon began this morning in Athens with 380 athletes from 42 countries taking part in this arduous challenge. This classic ultra stretches 245 km to Sparta and has to be completed within a time limit of 36 hours.
At 12:30 Ivan Cudin leads Jon Olsen with Palladino in third place. For the women Szilvia Lubics leads with Katalin Nagy in second and Eva Esnaola in third.
