Happy Monday! As promised, I will continue sharing songs each week that are on my Road Trip playlist. When I create a playlist for road trips, I try to cover most genres. Not only should different genres be covered, but different tempos too!
You cannot listen to upbeat music the entire trip. Some roads call for slower, chill, songs. Other roads call for Disney songs. Then there are the roads that call for club music. That is just how it goes on long car rides. Any person who has traveled at least 2+ hours in a vehicle know what I mean!
SO, given that last week I shared a bubbly, upbeat, song that screamed summer… I thought it would be nice to share a song that is a little slower, relaxing, and perfect for any road trip. I give to you, folks, “Simple As This” by Jake Bugg.
For those of you who are good at identifying movies from their soundtrack (me), you may remember this song from The Fault in Our Stars. I remember jumping out of my seat when I heard this song in the movie.
I LOVE Jake Bugg. His music is so beautiful, calming, and reminds me a lot of The Beatles and Johnny Cash. If you listen to this song, you will probably think I am crazy for saying Mr. Cash because it isn’t exactly country. I would say his music is Indie Folk? But, I can definitely hear an influence of one of the greatest there ever was in music: Johnny Cash!
