Sotheby’s International Realty Achieved $95 Billion in Global Sales Volume for 2016

Malta Sotheby’s International Realty, a luxury real estate agency based in Sliema, announced that the Sotheby’s International Realty® brand reported that in 2016 its affiliated brokers and sales professionals achieved approximately $95 billion in global sales volume, the highest annual sales volume performance in the history of the brand. This was largely driven by a brand record of over 127,000 transactions. Today Sotheby’s International Realty® is established in nearly 70 countries and territories worldwide. At year-end, the network totaled 880 offices and more than 20,000 sales associates.

In addition, Malta Sotheby’s International Realty (Malta SIR) announced that it also experienced a record sales volume in 2016.  The success is expected to increase in 2017 with a second office opening next week in the luxurious Portomaso Marina.

Malta SIR Director & Joint Owner, Michael J. Zammit, commented that Malta SIR have exceeded all expectations for 2016. Delighted of what was reached, he noted that the aim for 2017 is the continued growth of the brand through its strategic marketing efforts and to have a good market share of luxurious properties within the Malta SIR real estate portfolio. He noted that being affiliated with a brand that is truly global, Malta SIR goes a step beyond local real estate companies by providing a more holistic approach towards the local market. He added that Malta SIR provides owners the tools to reach a much larger global audience and affluent buyers.
