Evoking ‘The Back Room’-era Editors or the latter-day Maccabees, Sons & Lovers are a band who are already well on the way to big things, having established themselves as a BBC Introducing favourite, toured with The Naked and Famous and even sold out the Camden Barfly. Now they release the video to their new single ‘Lover’.
A song full of romance, it’s no surprise to see happy and frolicking couples feature throughout as the band plead ‘I don’t want to be lonely’. An anthem in waiting, amidst the spiralling guitars there is a breakdown perfect for sing-alongs halfway through and then a real fists-in-the-air conclusion.
