When we were snapping these photos, I had to laugh; as a local aren't I supposed to know the prime times of the year to shoot in vineyards? Well, I do! I had planned on shooting when the leaves were turning (it's a stunning site to see, believe me!) it somehow never managed to happen. Oh well. I'm learning to roll with the punches.
Speaking of rolling with the punches, planning my trip to New York is teaching me so much. I've been typing and sending so many emails that I swear the keys on my keyboard are starting to feel a little loose. The other day I actually started making phone calls. It's crazy how intimating a phone call can be. I've been writing out the things I want to say just so I don't sound like a blubbering idiot. Earlier this week I was reaching out to a designer that I had met while at WWDMAGIC and ended up having a rather surreal moment of texting her while she was out buying fabrics for her upcoming collection. A the end of the conversation she told me that she was currently somewhere in Asia..!
