Song review: Moutainjam - Heavenly Blue. Open an atmospherically staggering, feisty and ethereal musical lucky bag

2 years gone and still going strong - leicester-rooted Moutainjam (est. 2015) are a determined pack of ardent music-makers who prefer ringing contrasts in sound. The result is raucously soothing and melodiously fierce music, whose heartbeat surely is Dean's rasp, pithy vocal verve, as singles such as soulfully vibrant 'Shadows Of Your Mind' and sonorously vehement 'Lust' prove in a persuasively prominent fashion; recently recorded track 'Heavenly Blue', which stars melodious guitar reverb and throaty vocal passion, is no different. Blissfully swirling sonic spheres ally with edgy tonal vibrancy, powerful rhythms and bright, elusive harmonies top it off. It's what, too, leaves you with the feeling of having discovered a familiar and yet different side of these charmingly relentless rockers, a musically blue and cozy, even so dynamically thrilling one. And that sure keeps it exciting with every new song of theirs released!
