Son Of A Bitch: Nathaniel Rateliff & The Night Sweats, WayHome 2016 Preview

This week the team at WayHome dropped their first teaser video for the 2016 festival… it’s a trippy, 360°, digital wonder that’s full of clues of artists we’re going to see at Burl’s Creek this summer.

And one of the acts that we’re (pretty) sure was revealed in the video is Nathaniel Rateliff & The Night Sweats!

All of those S/O/B cans laying all of the floor point us in the direction of Nathaniel Rateliff & The Night Sweats’ breakout single and the lyric… Son of a bitch, give me a drink.

Now, none of this has been confirmed of course, but we’re pretty certain in our guess here.

And if we are right, we’re pretty excited about it. Rateliff and crew have been on fire since SOB was released last summer, and from the videos we’ve watched online it looks like they put on a hell of a show. For real, have a look at their performance on The Tonight Show. There’s clapping and dancing and horns and a lot of fun.

It would be great to get some of that with a significant crowd at WayHome!

We’ve had a listen to some of the other tracks from the self titled debut album, and the guitar work, unique voice, and big band (we’re looking at 8 or more musicians on stage together) we know we’re going to get a set of music that’s full and deep and adding to the weekend’s party atmosphere.

We would also like to take a second to say that we had Nathaniel Rateliff & The Night Sweats on our list of 10 WayHome Performer Predictions… and that makes us feel good.
