THE SHOWS Monday's suck. These days nobody is home when I get home from my lovely 2 hour commute. I've taken advantage of the time to get a Peloton class in and catch up on anything I didn't get to on Sunday night. Last night this included Dice & The Girlfriend Experience. I don't LOVE either of these shows but I'm sticking with them for now. I've been a Dice fan since day one. Only a real Dice fan would watch this show. I can't imagine someone who has no idea who Dice is stumbling on this one and loving it.  Problem with the show is, that while there are some Larry-David-awkward-laugh-out-loud-funny-moments, there are still sad-pathetic-I-can't-believe-its-come-to-this moments too. I find myself feeling bad for Dice most of the time. Not sure if that was the intention or not. Next up was The Girlfriend Experience. I'm now officially over the fact that this girl who's naked and screwing all these guys is Elvis's granddaughter. She's not super hot, she's not a great actress, I'm just hoping this is a one & done thing and I can find out what the F is wrong with this chick and move on. Okay, so now it was only 7pm and the 4 shows I wanted to watch weren't on until 10pm. WHY TV people? WHY? Boredom and desperation are not good for addicts of any kind. This includes TV addicts. So of course I looked for ANYTHING and oh...I found it in Southern Charm. No idea who any of these people are at this point but now I need to start from the beginning and learn alllll about them. So at 10pm as my eyes were getting heavy, I had that same decision to make...I swore that this week I was going to watch Blindspot and DVR Real Housewives of Dallas but I was already on Bravo and too lazy to click over to NBC so I stuck with the super annoying Dallas women. LeeAnne has to be one of the most horrible women they've ever had on this franchise. I counted 5 uses of the word "charity" but almost every conversation she has with anyone is either about her charity work or her hatred of Brandi. Let's face it, Brandi and her Jesus Juice (I counted 3 shout outs to her fave beverage) aren't enjoyable at all and her unattractive screaming children make things worse, but she and Stephanie are better than LeeAnne which doesn't say much. What else did we learn this week? Cary doesn't understand that Yoga is not supposed to be competitive, Brandi has a bunny, chasing dogs in flip flops isn't a good idea and some people don't know what Uber is. I really thought I blew it choosing RHOD over Blindspot, but after watching Blindspot early this AM I realized that I'm really only in it because Jaime Alexander and Sullivan Stapleton are super hot. The story has become boring, they're never running out of tattoos, and we're never going to find out anything until maybe...maybe the season finale. I didn't get to The Detour or Samantha Bee because they also air in the 10-11 hour. I'll catch up tonight. What do you guys watch on Monday's?
THE OTHER STUFF

Some interesting (and a bit disturbing) info on Live Viewing

  • Live + Same Day Ratings mask the fact that the number of people who sit down and watch a show in real time without any kind of time shift is smaller than the number lead us to believe.
  • The Top 25 shows on both broadcast and cable collected 66% of their 7 day 18-49 ratings and 76% of their 7 day total audience the day the show airs.
  • The number of people who actually sit down and watch a show when it actually starts is considerably lower than the numbers reflect
  • Less than 48% of the Top 25 shows 18-49 ratings come from live viewing
  • Only 4 shows in the Top 25  (The ACM Awards and 3 eps of Litle Big Shots earned 67% of their ratings from live viewing during the 4 weeks surveyed (314-4/10)
  • Live viewing is considered REAL TIME. If you start an episode 15 minutes late, your counted in Live + Same Day audience numbers
  • The Walking Dead Season Finale which I'd think everyone watched live, only had 43% of its 7 day audience tuning in live at 9pm on 4/3
  • In many cases the biggest DVR gain is not from same day to Live+3 or Live +3 to Live +7 but from Live to Live + same day.
Tuesday's Mother's Day Trivia Question: Yesterday was apparently too hard for all of you guys so here's a slam-dunk-super-easy one for you all: Name the Mom of Greg, Peter, Bobby, Marcia, Jan & Cindy.
