Some Good News And Bad News For Democrats

Posted on the 16 April 2017 by Jobsanger
Some Good News And Bad News For Democrats First, the good news. The Democratic Congressional Campaign Committee (DCCC) announced it has raised $31 million in the first three months of 2017. That's a record amount of donations for this early in a campaign season for the DCCC -- and it included 121,000 new donors (people who had never before given to the DCCC).
DCCC spokesman Tyler Law said:
"Our record-breaking fund-raising is a clear reflection of the urgency that people have towards fighting back against a reckless Republican agenda, including ongoing efforts to rip apart the Affordable Care Act. The massive amount of small-dollar, online donations — much of which came from first-time donors — provides another clear sign that the grassroots energy is behind House Democrats this cycle." Now the bad news. The National Republican Congressional Committee (NRCC) raised even more than their Democratic counterpart -- about $36 million in those same three months.
Democrats shouldn't think the 2018 elections are going to be a walk in the park thanks to strong opposition to Donald Trump. The Republican moneymen are showing they are willing to spend a large amount to keep their Republicans in control of Congress.
