Sobriety? How many mls of methadone are you on again?
I know I shouldn't feed the trollsAnd shouldn't give this person any more attentionI should really ignore and move onI shouldn't let this person get to meBut I have And I take issue with this comment
Anonymous I think you know exactly how many mls of methadone I am on26I know that technically I am still dependant on a drugI am also on various other medicationThey have all been prescribed to me by my doctorIt's not like I am buying these drugs on the streetAnd taking them as I see fitMy meds are dispensed daily And I don't abuse them in the way that I used to
Methadone seems to polarise peopleYou either agree with itOr you don'tMethadone has a bad reputationIt conjures up images of pale vacant junkies'The walking dead' as one newspaper here called them recentlyMethadone means trouble to a lot of peopleAnd like any group of peopleThere are always some bad eggsBut there are also people like mePeople who use it correctlyAnd are working to come off it completelyI'm not a trouble makerI don't sell my methadoneYes I messed up recentlyBut I am doing my level best to get back on track
Maybe in your eyes I am not clean anonymousBut I am as clean as I can get right nowYes, I am physically dependant on methadoneBut isn't that miles better than being addicted to heroinExisting in that murky under world of addictionI'm not committing crimes to get my drugMy life is not chaotic or unmanageableFor the most part I am stableI am steadyI am doing the best I can
I've been getting quite a few negative and nasty comments recentlyIt seems that some people are not willing to give me a second chanceOf course when I write a postI put myself out there for everyone to seeAnd with the positiveThere is also negativeI understand thatAnd it's okEveryone is entitled to their opinionAnd freedom of speechBut there is no excuse for smart arse commentsWritten anonymously of course
I was wondering about youDo you ever get nasty comments?How did you deal with them?Do you think it's best to ignore them?Or do you reply to them?I'd love to know......
