And here I am again, trying to do the red lip. I'm also perfecting the placement of fake lashes. Things that should really be simple, but require a steady hand. Practice will makes things right.

  1. Put eyeliner first and make sure to curl the eyelashes.
  2. Measure the lashes first, leaving space for the tear duct.
  3. Make sure that the shorter lashes of the strip lashes are closer to the inner corner.
  4. Put glue on a knuckle, you end up using less and the curve helps to apply the glue properly.
  5. When applying glue, pay attention to the ends of the strip lashes—the lashes must be secure at its ends. Be careful about putting too much glue!
  6. Wait for the glue to be tacky (maybe 30 seconds?)
  7. Apply mascara to help push the lashes together.
  8. Wait fo the glue to dry, then apply eyeliner again. Intensify eyeshadow if needed.

One of the other stars of the wedding is the Mother of the Bride. The make-up for mature skin is not completely different, just some things you have to remember.

  • Use a light coat of foundation, powdered lightly. Mature skin is usually dry, so you don't want to emphasize it.
  • Remember to keep to soft lines, aim for diffused color.
  • Avoid dark lipstick colors, mature lips go thinner and the dark hues will only emphasize this.
  • Fill in the eyebrows well.
