So Everyone’s Full of Shit ?

Posted on the 15 March 2017 by Worldwide @thedomains

Let me be clear there are scam artists, charlatans and snake oil salespeople in the domain industry. Fact !

I do believe that each situation and or person needs to be looked at individually and you should have something to substantiate your claims.

Over the last couple days there was a thread that questioned Mike Mann’s sales, and while I understand the initial post after being answered by Konstantinos from OnlineDomain and others the thread continues on with the same question.

In my opinion it’s better to email or social media message Mike Mann. Maybe he will give insight, or maybe he might say piss off, I don’t know.

Another post that calls into question all people saying they turned down five figure offers. Domain VP had the best reply in my opinion which echoes the sentiments of this article, you need to go domain by domain.

Then today there is a post I wrote about Aron Meystedt and how in that article he states he turned down $1.5 million for XF.com.

Commenters posting anonymously want to say he is full of shit or lying. I don’t know Aron on a personal level, I have communicated with him on a professional level and I have never found any whisper of him being shady or full of shit. Could he be lying about the offer ? Of course he could but the people attacking him have no intimate knowledge. A lot of times people make statements solely based on how they would have responded.

If they wouldn’t turn down $1.5 million then no one would, anyone saying anything to the contrary is full of shit.

If we can be real, completely honest, most domain investors don’t operate at the highest levels of domaining. Doing six and seven figure deals, international dealings with language barriers, legal opinions and contracts.

So maybe you are playing checkers while others are playing chess. That’s fine, and yes some people are full of shit, but everyone is not full of shit, at least not in my opinion.
