So-Cal Style IPA – Granville Island Brewing

By Mike @mikescraftbeer

From Granville Island Brewing out of Vancouver comes their new "So-Cal Style IPA". The beer pours a copper colour with a white head and lots of lacing. The aroma consist of citrus, grapefuit, biscuit, caramel and floral hops. The flavour is of citrus, grapefruit, peach, tropical fruits, caramel, toffee, earth, resin and bitterness. The alcohol content comes in at 7.8% with an IBU of 80. While I can't think of any So-Cal IPA's this reminds me of I do quite like what they have brought to the table with this beer.

Commercial Description: Like the state of California, our So-Cal Style IPA is big, bold and beautiful. Bright citrus and grapefruit notes dominate this audacious brew thanks to an epic dose of West Coast hops. Pairs well with fish tacos with a citrus salsa.
