FROSTED (Katy Regnery) – When Grace Luff's children send her to a Silver Wings weekend at a luxury resort, they are hoping that the 56-years-young widow will meet a man to lift the loneliness she's endured since the passing of her husband over three years before. Grace, who barely remembers how to date, doesn't expect to meet anyone special, so she’s surprised that the owner of a local ski rental shop, Tray Bradshaw, makes her heart leap with interest and attraction. When a rogue snowstorm traps the pair in an abandoned cabin, they'll get to know each other, and discover that it's never too late to change...or fall in love.
GROUNDED (Kate Forest) – Biologist Julia won’t tolerate another frigid Chicago winter studying the frozen Great Lakes. But with every hour of her flight delay, her chance on a research voyage in Florida slips further away. Jeremy must get to Florida to sever the noose-like obligations of his family's boating business so he can become curator of a Chicago museum. Stuck in an airport, waiting out the snowstorm of the century, can two travelers headed for opposite paths find love while trapped in Concourse B?
MELTED (Jennie Marts) – Painful memories from long ago resurface when Emily Wells travels to Colorado to clean out her family’s vacation cabin for its new owner. Strongest among them? Her recollections of Logan Chase, Emily’s first love, to whom she gave her heart one magical summer, only to have it broken when she never heard from him again. Logan had never forgotten that summer romance and can’t believe it when he finds Emily packing up the little cabin that he has recently purchased for renovation. Despite the passage of years and their stormy history, Emily and Logan can’t deny the fierce attraction that still sizzles between them…Will one snowy night together be enough to melt her frozen heart and give them both a second chance at love?
REKINDLED (Susan Scott Shelley) – Actress Gemma Norwood and carpenter Adam Hudson are thrown together four years after a gut-wrenching break-up. Both are looking to make major changes in their lives, but after one kiss, rekindling their relationship is all that matters. When family obligations and once-in-a-lifetime opportunities threaten to tear them apart again, the warm glow of a happily-ever-after seems as impossible as starting a fire in a snowstorm.
SMITTENED (Jamie Farrell) – Dahlia Mallard is determined save her ice cream shop by getting country music superstar Billy Brenton to attend her risqué flavor-tasting event. But the closest she can get to Billy is his drummer, the womanizing Mikey Diamond. The more she gets to know Mikey, the more she wants to save him from his bad boy ways. When he discovers she’s using him to get to Billy, will she still be able to have her ice cream and eat it too?
SNOWED (Veronica Forand) – Lorena Rubio’s life is turned upside down when she’s kidnapped by Andrés “Con” Conesa, right hand man for the drug lord who murdered her sister. Con, who is deep undercover for the FBI, must keep her at a cabin in the snowy Sierra Nevada Mountains until the rumor that she’s provided specifics about his drug cartel to the police is confirmed or denied. Their attraction ignites in the middle of this frozen hideaway, but Lorena is unwilling to offer her heart to a criminal. When the cartel boss arrives and wants Lorena put on ice for snitching, Con must decide whether or not to blow his cover for the woman he craves beyond reason.
*All stories included in Snowy Days, Steamy Nights are either short-story or novella length, giving readers the perfect opportunity to “meet” a new author or enjoy a sweet treat from a present favorite.*

MY REVIEW:
Snowy Days, Steamy Nights: Come in from the ColdSnowy Days, Steamy Nights: Come in from the Cold by Katy Regnery
My rating: 4 of 5 stars
Snowy Days and Steamy Nights is a 2015 publication. I was provided a copy of this book for review purposes.
This contemporary romance anthology box set features a variety of stories by six authors, set against a snowy winter backdrop.
The first book is “Frosted” by Katy Regnery
This was an excellent story to lead with. Grace is widowed and wishing for the passion her marriage had lacked. A retreat for older singles underwhelmed Grace so she sets out to do a little skiing on her own. But, when she has an accident she finds herself stranded at the ski lodge with the handsome owner, Tray. But, can Grace trust that Tray's interest is in her or could he be thinking about her vast estate? This was a sweet and modern spin on the Hepburn/ Tracy chemistry and I really loved the focus on the older adults. This story proves it is never too late find love and passion in your life. - 4.5 stars
The second story is Grounded by Kate Forest.
Two people, Julia and Jeremy, find themselves stranded at the airport during a terrible winter storm. Each has a very important reason to make it to their respective destinations, reasons that are life changing for each of them. But, it looks as though they will both miss out on golden opportunities, if they can't get a plane to fly them out. However, they just might find this awful situation could work out to their advantage. This is one of the shorter stories in the set. An enjoyable read that makes you think that maybe things really do happen for a reason. 3.5 stars
The third story is: Melted by Jennie Marts
Emily is at the cabin she has held fond memories of, tidying things up for the eventual sale her mother intends to go through with after her parents divorce.
She is tripping down memory lane remembering the guy she has always loved but who left and never came back for her. She and Logan had talked about marriage, but then he never followed through and now years later, she is still pining for him.
When the two bump into each other, they have the chance to clear the air which hopefully leads to a second chance at love.
Well, I am always a sucker for second chance romance, so I really liked this one, even though it was super short. 3.5 stars
The fourth story is: Rekindled by Susan Scott Shelley
This is also a story of second chance romance which is centered around Gemma, a woman who would have followed her boyfriend, Adam, a professional baseball player anywhere he went, but when he got a chance at the pros, he left her behind and never looked back. Gemma tried to pursue her interest in acting, but things didn't quite work out. Now, Adam has suffered a potentially career ending injury and his dad is in bad health, so he returns home to help out his family. This means seeing Gemma who has maintained her friendship with Adam's sister all these years.
Can they rekindle their romance or will Adam's career once again come between them?
This story was a little more fleshed out and I found myself feeling very emotionally invested in it. 4 stars for this one.
The fifth story is: Smittened by Jamie Farrell-
Mickey Diamond is a country superstar in love with his best friend's sister. But, she married, had kids, and then got divorced, but somehow the two never could manage to get together. But, now he has met a really great lady named Dahlia. The trouble is he doesn't know if she is using him to help her sell her ice cream flavors or if he is really over the woman he has loved all his life.
This story made me crave chocolate ice cream and I loved the names of the flavors. Although this a really short story it had a wonderful ending that made me smile. 4 stars
Last but not least is: Snowed by Veronica Forand
This was the most unconventional of all the stories included in the set.
Lorena is out to stop the man who she is positive killed her sister. However, he is a very dangerous criminal and now one of his men, Con, has taken Lorena and is holding her until his boss can make a personal appearance and take care of the situation. But, is Con really a bad guy or is there more to this story?
Lorena and Con make quite a pair, no matter what they decide to call each other. Con is a conflicted man about many things he has had to do in life, and Lorena is certainly making things that much more complicated for him. This one has a darker tone than the others, but I liked having a story included in the set that had a bit of an edge to it. 3.5 stars.
As a whole this is a solid collection of romance novellas, perfect for curling up with on cold winter night. After reading these stories you will feel all warm and toasty. Overall this set gets a 4 star rating collectively.
Snowy Days, Steamy Nights - Box Set- Anthology- ReviewKaty Regnery, award-winning and Amazon bestselling author, started her writing career by enrolling in a short story class in January 2012. One year later, she signed her first contract for a winter romance entitled By Proxy.
Now a hybrid author who publishes both independently and traditionally, Katy claims authorship of the six-book Heart of Montana series, the six-book English Brothers series, and a Kindle Worlds novella entitled “Four Weddings and a Fiasco: The Wedding Date,” in addition to the standalone novels, Playing for Love at Deep Haven and Amazon bestseller, The Vixen and the Vet.
The Vixen and the Vet is included in the charity anthology Hometown Heroes: Hotter Ever After, and Katy’s novella “Frosted” will appear in the upcoming (Jan ’15) anthology, Snowy Days Steamy Nights. Additionally, Katy’s short story, “The Long Way Home” will appear in the first RWA anthology (Feb ’15), Premiere.
Katy lives in the relative wilds of northern Fairfield County, Connecticut, where her writing room looks out at the woods, and her husband, two young children, and two dogs create just enough cheerful chaos to remind her that the very best love stories begin at home.
