When you get
an email saying that you’re invited to a Royal Ball, would you come? I did! Thanks
to SM Supermalls I was able to feel like I am a child again because of their
royal ball titled The Princess In Me. Did I dress up? No, I didn’t. Shame.
Last November 7, SM Supermalls unveiled their most exciting Christmas extravaganza yet. In partnership with the ever-most famous iconic toy brand Barbie, a life-sized Barbie house was formed at SM North Edsa The Block for the guest and shoppers. Especially kids.
The Royal
Ball’s venue was divided into two parts where kids and kids-at-heart enjoyed
their stay. Adults guest visited the Holiday Barbie Lounge where they had their
photo taken at the Barbie Box Photobooth and enjoyed some pink treats as well.
The other side's the Royal Court where mini-Princesses enjoyed a full makeover; from hair styling, nail art, glitter tattoo, to face painting. Oh! They also had their photo taken sitting on the Royal Throne with Prince Charming on their side holding the glass slipper. Very Cinderella.
We were enjoying our snacks when we heard Nikki Gil sang and the Princess-themed fashion show began. Playful, pop, casual, and pink outfits of different Princesses were showcased.
Lighting the Princess Tree is my favorite part. SM Prime Holding, Inc. President Hans Sy and Kendra Kramer lead the festive lighting. Senior Vice President of SM Supermalls Steve Tan also said a few things about what to expect to the Merry SM Christmas campaign.
The grand
launch, however, is only the first of many festivities to come. You can already
feel the Christmas spirit in any SM stores and I’m sure that they are ready –
or already did – to let you experience a wide variety of events, activities,
and promotions set to be held at each SM Supermalls location, from the unveiling
of uniquely themed Christmas trees designed to impart each meal with a holiday
spirit.It was an afternoon full of fun and I should admit now that I will never get tired of Barbie. LOL And look, I met two real-life Barbies! And they’re talking too. I wonder how will my kikay cousins will react when they see them.
