Let's get back into the swing of things, shall we?
Let's just say that my skin has been a nightmare recently. A mix of stress and overdosing on sugar has made it go whoopsy, meaning I have desperately needed some decent skincare goodies in my life to fix that. Years ago, I remember watching Pixiwoo videos and coming across the Embryolisse Lait-Creme Concentre (£20), the multi-functioning, nourishing moisturiser. This has been working a treat on a morning to create an even base, hydrating the skin so that it's supple and ready for makeup. It's rich enough to create a lasting softness to the skin, but easily blendable so that it sinks in if you are in a rush. To soothe my tired eyes morning or night, the Antipodes Kiwi Seed Oil Eye Cream (£25.99) has been keeping my peepers looking more awake than they actually are. The consistency is light and bouncy and soothes my tired under eye bags.
Next up is one that I've had in my stash for a while but didn't realize my blemish-prone skin would need. The Paula's Choice Daily Pore-Refining Treatment (£25) is a strong product due to its inclusion of salicylic acid, so not one to over-use. I use it in my toner stage as it continues to unclog the pores and get rid of any unwanted makeup and dirt whilst combating uneven skin tone and texture. Used twice a week and bob's your uncle. As I said, my skin has needed an extra bit of loving as eczema so kindly found it's way onto my forehead. Introducing, the La Roche-Posay Toleraine Ultra Overnight Care (£17.50), a lightweight cream that reduces the skin's sensitivity making it feel less irritated, red and inflamed. Thank the lord for this beauty for giving me some of my confidence back. If you struggle with your skin and feel like it needs a boost, this. Just, this. Finally, we have Sunday Riley's Luna which I've spoken about in more detail here. Used a handful of times a week, I wake up the next day seeing a clear difference in my skin. That being, scarring reduced, a much more even skin tone and general glow.
So wham BAM, those are my skincare kickass products of the moment. Has your skin been playing up as of recent? I think it's all the change of weather we're having, sunny one day, rainy the next! Let me know your hero skincare products, and whether any of these are on your list?
