Sip, Bite & Read at Coffee Book

Coffee lovers and bookworms, rejoice! There is a new place where you can enjoy good food and good reads. Located at the ground floor of Pinnacle Building in Congressional Avenue Extension, you will find a bright and relaxing cafe called Coffee Book.

If you're new in the area, the cafe isn't hard to find. The cafe's facade showcases a colorful signage plus a wide glass window giving you a simple peek inside. So what's inside this bright and relaxing cafe, you ask? Well, everything both bibliophiles and coffeephiles need!

Comfy Chairs and Books

Every bibliophile needs a good book and a relaxing ambiance. Coffee Book has got you covered. They have a wide selection of books and magazines you can borrow. You can enjoy reading them or your own books in their comfy orange and yellow green chairs. But if you prefer the sofa they have that, too. And if you are bringing your laptop or e-Reader, no worries because they have a suitable area with easy access to sockets.

Good Food

Bibliophiles get hungry, too! If you love breakfast, you would be happy to know that the cafe offers affordable all-day breakfasts such as Beef Bacon, Cajun Chicken, Chicken Longganisa, Corned Beef Guisado, Organic Bangus, Organic Spanish Sardines, Signature Beef Tapa, and Turkey Spam.

I was able to try the following:

The Signature Beef Tapa is fine but I prefer the Cajun Chicken and Chicken Longganisa. Though simple, both of these are delicious and are quite flavorful.

Besides all-day breakfast options, Coffee Book also serve pasta - Creamy Pesto, Fettuccine Alfredo, Lasagna Supreme and Mexican Style as well as sandwiches - BBQ Chicken Burger, Crocodile Sausage Sandwich and Grilled 3 Cheese. If you just want some light snacks, they have some crispy and tasty starters - Calamares, Crispy Fries, Mozzarella Sticks, Nachos, Potato Wedges and Twister Fries perfect while reading a book.

Coffee & Mocktails

Need a boost? Coffeephiles will surely love the cafe's latte and frappe options as well as tea. I love coffee which is perfect for the sweets they offer. But what caught my attention was their interesting selection of Summer's Best Mocktails.

Mocktail, an abbreviation for "mock cocktails" is a nonalcoholic drink. It consists of a mixture of fruit juices or other soft drinks. Coffee Book serves Cucumber Lychee Mojito, Lemon Grass Chiller, Peach Paradise Tea, Peach Queen, Pinacolada, Sangria, Spring Fizz, and Virgin Cuba Libre. Since it's almost summer, I opted for their Lemon Grass Chiller and Pinacolada. I have to say that these two are the best mocktails for our kind of weather!

Are you ready to sip, bite and read at Coffee Book? If you will be commuting, you can ride the COMET (City Optimized Managed Electric Transport). The shuttle passes by the area daily. But if you have a car, that won't be a problem because they have a parking space available.
