Space is not a rare influence when it comes to ambient music, with many great artists trying to highlight the beauty of the universe in their work. Simple Machine continues this idea with the aptly named Midnight Music, managing to portray both the magnificence and the isolation of space. Whilst some tracks on this album are slightly more beat driven than most ambient music, this does not detract from the chilled out vibe. In addition to this, this release has some incredible soundscapes that are not to be missed. Highly recommended.
