The vocal softness of Dan Vidmar, better know as Shy Girls, is intoxicating. From the first note he sings, it’s impossible to tear away from the melancholic soul that he so easily exudes. It’s a voice that sounds fragile while remaining sturdy and captivating. The track itself, the first off a new, currently untitled EP, is full of emotionally raw lyrics and crashing drums that puncture through delicate piano and synth. Vidmar cuts through the crestfallen atmosphere with razor sharp harmonics later in the song, augmenting the simmering anger just below the surface. It’s an incredible track and has us eagerly awaiting the new EP.
