Shellac Nails - Follow Up

CND Shellac Nails

Back in December I blogged about my initial impressions of Shellac nails. Traveling around New Zealand for two weeks I wanted to ensure my nails looked good for as long as possible. Worrying about nails is the last thing I want to do whilst I am on holidays.
I must say my experience with Shellac nails was great! The nails lasted for almost three weeks- don't get me wrong they were looking pretty shabby by then however no chips in site. It could have lasted even longer but my nails had grown out so much it looked pretty ordinary by the three week mark. It lasted equally as well on my toes- no chipping and stayed shiny and glossy.
From my experience I would have to whole- heartedly recommend Shellac nails if you have a special occasion coming up or if you just like to splurge a little on your nails. I had mine done professionally but there a systems you can buy online to do it yourself. I'd be very curious to hear people's experience if you have purchased one of these. How does it compare to getting it professionally done?
