Set Up Multiple Twitter Accounts With One Email Address

Posted on the 24 September 2011 by Chillpete @geekmeblog
Sometimes you may want to have more than one Twitter account on the same email address, the problem is, Twitter wants you to have a separate email address for each account, and if you try to use an email that is already registered Twitter will reject the account saying "Email has already been taken" then ask you to try another email address.
I have more than one Twitter account and I don't want all the Twitter notifications appearing into several different email accounts, so how do you work round this problem? Easy.
Open a Gmail account and you can use this exclusively for all your Twitter notifications.

[email protected][email protected]
With Gmail, you can add a dot or period (.) anywhere in your username. This will not make any difference to Gmail, all the emails will still go to the same inbox (itsme@gmail & its.me@gmail) are treated as the same email address by Gmail, but Twitter will view them as two different and valid email addresses even though they point to the same Gmail inbox.
