- Whatever flavor is your favorite, just make sure the day does not go by, without having one or more cream filled donuts.
  Donuts originate from fried pastries from Denmark. The first American who made ring pastry was Hansen Gregory. While in Europe fried pastries still look like a ball and are often filled with jam, the American cream-filled donuts are filled with vanilla or chocolate cream, sometimes more like pudding. Source

TV's 'The Waltons' Debuted
-- The Homecoming aired on December 19, 1971, and was a huge ratings success, so CBS decided to turn it into a TV series called The Waltons, which debuted on September 14, 1972.
