Selena’s Classic Hairstyle, Here’s How!

By Khristinacarla @khristinacarla

Now that you've seen and shopped our December cover with the adorable Selena Gomez, I know you're wondering about her hair and makeup look. Luckily, we've got the step-by-step and the products used straight from her glam squad themselves!

Makeup artist Jo Strettel used gloss to achieve Selena's bold and bright red lip. One we love: L'Oréal Infallible Gloss in Red Fatale. A bright petal pink blush was used on cheeks. Try one like L'Oréal True Match Blush in Rosy Outlook. On the eyes, Strettel used L'Oréal Smoldering Eyeliner in Black and L'Oréal Power Volume Mascara in Black.

Moving on to the hair, Vidal Sassoon Pro Series Ambassador Ben Skervin created a look that was "relaxed Hollywood glamour" inspired by Lauren Bacall and Katherine Hepburn. Here's the step-by-step:

Step 1: Prep "After towel-drying Selena's hair, I spritzed Vidal Sassoon Pro Series Color Protect Spray all over. I then used Vidal Sassoon Pro Series Boost & Lift Foaming Air Mousse, starting at the roots and working it through the length."

Step 2: Style "I blow-dried her hair using a medium-sized round brush. Once completely dry, I curled two-inch sections with a medium-sized curling iron, letting them set for 25 seconds."

Step 3: Finish "Once the curls cooled, I brushed her hair into soft waves with a Mason Pearson brush. To finish off the look, I sprayed her hair with Vidal Sassoon Pro Series Flexible Hold Hairspray."

What do you think of Selena's hair and makeup on our December cover? Will you be recreating this look at home?
