Section33 – Halloween Special

By Emma @glasgowfoodie

After spending some time out East at the Edinburgh Fringe Festival, Section33 are planning on finishing the job they started at an incredible venue.

One of Glasgow's most beautiful iconic buildings is set to be transformed into a hip, New York style pop up restaurant and bar for 5 days next month.

"We've got some real treats lined up, such as showing the original 1922 silent
horror film - "Nosferatu" with an accompanying orchestra."

The style of food for the next PopUp is very street food orientated - specializing in
3 particular styles; South American, Asian, and Scottish. The A la Carte menu will
consist of 15 dishes to choose from, the menu is designed in a tapas/sharing fashion.

Tickets are already selling fast for the restaurant, which will open from Wednesday
2nd - Sunday 6th of November.

Tickets for entry to the event are priced at £5pp, which includes a very special arrival cocktail created by Glasgow's own "unorthodox drinks producer" Rapscallion_etc.

"A big part of this pop-up is to give back to the community and support Glasgow's
homeless population and families in need.

My Gran used to always ask when I was
going to get a real job, or a trade, I feel by giving back to the local community and
those who are going through a challenging time makes everything we do much more
worth while.

After the event we're looking into various options to ensure we're feeding as many
people in need as possible, we're also running a rucksack collection for The Simon
Community, and finally donating to the restoration fund of the incredible venue
we're taking over for a week"
