Sebastian Bach Thrills Skid Row Fans with Incredible Ottawa Performance

Posted on the 04 December 2016 by Hendrik Pape @soundcheckblg

It was another night at Barrymore's for another rockstar only this time the rockstar had a slightly larger profile in his past than many of the previous guests. The headliner this night was none other than former Skid Row front man, turned Gilmore Girls actor, Sebastian Bach.

Iconoclast

The evening was filled with some of the best rock Ottawa has to offer with both opening acts hailing from the Ottawa area. First up was Ottawa's own, and might I add one of the greatest rock bands to come out of Ottawa...perhaps I'm a bit biased because I'm in the band myself :-), Iconoclast.

Inire

Following Iconoclast was an extremely talented band from the other side of the Ottawa River in Aylmer, Inire. Fresh off the release of their latest album Cauchemar these guys picked up where Iconoclast left off and kept the energy building for Bach.

Sebastian Bach

By the time Bach took to the stage around 10:30 Barrymore's was packed wall to wall, I don't remember a time that that venue was so full for a show. And Bach wouldn't disappoint either. For the better part of 2 hours Bach cranked out hit after hit of Skid Row classics from "18 and Life" to "Slave to the Grind" and everything in between leading up to his recent solo work.

It's been a great fall to be a rock fan in Ottawa and we look forward to that trend continuing into 2017 in the meantime do yourself a favour and support some local rock bands, be sure to pick up Inire's Cauchemar you won't be disappointed! For more information checkout www.inire.ca. Of course you should checkout Iconoclast as well iconoclast-band.com. Special thanks to Sebastian Bach and his band and crew for an amazing night and thanks again to Barrymore's for having us out.
