Passive-Aggressive Notes: Sound familiar?

What can you do when faced with a serious irritant but you dislike direct confrontation? Why, pen a passive-aggressive note, of course. And should you need some inspiration, head to PassiveAggressiveNotes.com, a hilarious collection of the finest missives of frustration from around the world.

The site showcases written reactions to a range of situations, from office-based annoyances to noisy neighbours.

Some notes are rather touching. “Dear Cactus Killer, Thank you for being so helpful as to water my cactus … However, in being a super helpy-helper-ton, you seem to have murdered it, and now I am sad.”

Others are more to the point, such as the large note posted in a window in Edinburgh: “2nd floor, we can see you shagging.”
