School Fundraising Ideas for Halloween

School Fundraising Ideas for Halloween   Halloween is a special time for kids. They look forward to it for months. I remember when I was a kid I would be asked daily what I was dressing up as. When the big day came there was so much excitement the kids would almost vibrate. With this amount of interest and participation here are a few ideas to put on a successful Halloween fundraising event.

School Pumpkin Patches

Turn a portion of your school parking lot into a pumpkin patch. Get a bale of hay, a few signs and some volunteers to help you arrange the pumpkins. Buy from local growers someone who might be able to deliver once in awhile. You don’t want to overbuy but get new pumpkins delivered when needed.

 School Halloween Costume Sale

Send out announcements to parents for lightly used Halloween costumes. Have the school send notices home with the students right after a Halloween so you can collect them before they are discarded. Plan a sale on a weekend where all the costumes are displayed. Think about making it into an event where you can offer sales of hot cider and Halloween treats while the family is browsing through the costumes.

 Haunted School Yard

You might consider offering the class with the highest fundraising totals through the year the opportunity to decorate their own schoolyard for Halloween. This keeps the students motivated for previous fundraisers plus the teachers can offer it as a creative arts project.

Whatever project you pick or work with them all, Halloween has a special place in the kids’ hearts. This can be a magic time for them plus a great time for fundraising.
