Save the Planet: Go Shopping!

By Kels_chaz22 @kels_chaz22

Sorry it has been so long since I have posted! It’s been an insane week! Hope your week has been amazing and productive as well. So I don’t know about you but I would love to save the planet. Pretty ambitious right? Yes, I know. But surprisingly there are so many little things we can do to do our part! Well I’ve found an even easier way to help our planet: buy jeans. Yep, I said it. Go shopping. Well for these jeans at least. Levi’s has revolutionized their technology and technique for finishing jeans in their new line called Water<Less. They now use 28%-96% less water in the production process than before. Don’t worry, that classic Levi’s style is not lost in the process.. Honestly I think they’re better than some of the other lines because not only are they serving the purpose of keeping your gams warm, they’re pretty much transforming you into Superman at the same time. Well kind of. Save the Planet: Go Shopping! Combined with using less water in their finishing process of these jeans, and you pledging to wash them only every two weeks (which is actually better for the denim anyways and will save you money on your next water bill) they will save 858,400,000 liters of water in the Spring of 2011 alone! Not only that, but you personally will be saving 8 whole days of clean drinking water for one person.  Now THAT’s making a difference
Shop the entire Levi’s Water<Less Collection here.
Here are some other ways you can help conserve water and save our planet:
1. Load your laundry to the brim*15-20% of all water in the home is used for laundry
2. Drink tap water instead of bottled water*It takes 3 liters of water to produce 1 liter of bottled water
3. Turn off the faucet when you’re brushing your teeth*14.5 liters of water is consumed while you’re brushing
4. Take shorter showers*A 10 minute shower uses up to 145 liters of water!
