Samsung Teams-Up with CellTrust to Replace Hospital Paging Systems

Posted on the 10 February 2014 by Nrjperera @nrjperera

The new device developed by CellTrust called PULSE is capable of managing secure two-way paging, secure text messaging and secure voice calls. And the device can also be activated via Samsung mobile smartphones, tablets and wearable devices, which includes Samsung’s Galaxy Gear smartwatch.

“CellTrust’s multi-channel approach to mobile healthcare communication delivers the speed, security and redundancy lacking with conventional pagers. Wearable mobile communication devices have the potential to save critical seconds with highly effective cross-team messaging and immediate access to patient health information,” said Samsung’s Jongshin Kim.

Despite Samsung’s greedy approach to make this device work only with their devices, it would be a good opportunity for hospitals to get rid of those outdated Pagers once and for all. Check out the video to see how it works.

Samsung will debut the device with CellTrust at Mobile World Congress 2014 in Barcelona.
