Samsung Reveals A Bundle of App Fun With New Galaxy

If the specs of the newly revealed Galaxy S5′s display, processor, and camera aren’t enough of an incentive, then you’ll definitely feel the pull from Galaxy Gifts.

Samsung reported with the unveiling of the Galaxy S5 that the phone will be distributed with a grand total of $576 worth of free subscriptions to some very useful apps. These apps come from categories including lifestyle, fitness, and productivity. Here are a few of the favorites, and you can view the full list from Samsung’s website.

Lifestyle

The Galaxy S5 will come equipped with a full year’s subscription to Bloomsberg Business Week +, valued at $30. Ultimately impressive in the lifestyle offerings is the six-month subscription to Wall Street Journal, an always-reliable news source whose value in this offer is $130.

What kind of lifestyle offering wouldn’t be complete without a good game included? The GS5 understands and has already taken care of some of your needs in the gaming department with $10 worth of credit for Cut the Rope 2‘s in-app purchases.

Fitness

The most talked-about feature of the GS5 is its heart rate monitor located on the rear of the smartphone with the camera. With the information provided by this technology, certain apps are able to aid the user in tracking their health and exercise. According to Verizon Wireless, you can “track your steps, challenge friends, earn badges and get on–demand healthy eating advice.” That being said, which apps of the free offerings can you use to streamline your exercise routines?

Using the information provided by the heart rate monitor with Lark‘s premium service is a great way to begin improving (or further improve) your health. And don’t worry, the first year’s $36 subscription is apparently on Samsung. The array of fitness offerings also includes a six-month subscription to Skimble, valued at $46.

So, perform some of the many workouts provided by Skimble, measure your heart rate with the built-in monitor, and finish with good recommendations from Lark.

Productivity

The Galaxy S5 comes with three months of premium service with EverNote, the ever-popular organizational tool functional across multiple devices, a $15 value. Go ahead and get organized, storing your more important documents with DropBox, for which Samsung has given you 50GB of included space for two years—saving you an extra $100.

And when you feel you just can’t keep your productivity up, Samsung counters with your free EasilyDo Pro app, which would have cost you $5, with which you can manage all of your time on a nice, big, non-judgmental and silent screen.
