Russian Salad (vegetable Salad)

Salads are the best for the healthy diet. People prefer eating salads for Dieting. but somethings people get bored of eating raw vegetables.

Here is a recipe of how to have a yummy Russian salad with staying healthy:-

INGREDIENTS:-

  • 2 Potatoes,
  • 4 Carrots,
  • 1 cup Peas,
  • Pineapple – 1 tin bite- size pineapple approximately 500 kgs when packed (optional),
  • 300 g Walnuts (optional),
  • A bunch of Grapes (optional)
  • Sugar if neededed
  • Lettuce leaves

 

DRESSING:-

  • Mayonnaise,
  • ! Lemon juice,
  • Salt to taste
  • Pepper to taste

 

PREPARATION:-

Boil vegetables separately until just tender. Remove with slotted spoon and put in a large bowl of ice- cold water.

Peel and cut  potatoes and carrots into cubes.

Peel, clean and break walnuts into small pieces.

In a separate bowl, add lemon juice, salt and pepper to mayonnaise and mix well.

Add a pinch of sugar if needed.

 

DIRECTIONS:-

Gently mix the vegetables, pineapples and walnuts into the dressing, so as not to squish them.

In a plate, line the edges with large Lettuce leaves, and spoon the salad on top or in the center.

Refrigerate for two to three hours before serving.

Enjoy eating.
