Romantic Wedding Video in Santorini | Carla & Carl

By Eleni Balkouli @Love4Wed

Carla and Carl traveled from England to Santorini to create the wedding of their dreams! They chose colors that matched with the natural landscape of Santorini and the deep blue sea, such as cobalt blue, white and silver. Their ceremony and venue were decorated beautifully with elegant details, candles and fresh blue flowers. The following video captures perfectly every single moment and every emotion of this special day. Prepare to get inspired and feel completely transported to this magical island!

The bride shared with us: “Carl and I are both from a small town about an hour from London however we met in London at Paddington underground station when we were 17. Carl was going to watch a Tottenham – Hotspur match and I was going to watch a West End musical. We were both looking at the tube map and I helped him work out how to get to where he needed to go. We arranged to meet back up to get the train home together. I love Disney and in 2014 we went on a big holiday to Florida with Carl’s family. The day we arrived we went to Magic Kingdom. Whilst we were posing for a photo in front of the castle, Carl got down on one knee and proposed. The whole thing was captured on video and in photos by his family for us to look back on.”

“Our video perfectly encapsulates how completely wonderful the day was. The team at Photo Studio Costa did such an amazing job of capturing all the special moments of the day as well as the beautiful setting in Santorini. They made us feel so comfortable on the day that we completely forgot that we were being filmed. When we watched it back after we got home, it took us straight back to the day and gave us the opportunity to relive it all. We wanted to really make the most of the beautiful blue rooftops, sea and sky in Santorini, so the concept of the wedding revolved around this with cobalt blue, white and silver.”

“It’s so hard to choose just one moment as the whole day felt like a magical dream. If I had to pick one I would say the moment I walked down the aisle with my dad and caught Carl’s eye for the first time knowing that we were about to become husband and wife. The whole moment felt so special and emotional and even though we were surrounded by our family and friends it felt like everyone else just disappeared as we focused on each other. I’ll never forget that wonderful feeling. My wedding dress was made by Ronald Joyce and came with a skirt attachment so that I could have the best of both worlds. For the ceremony I wore the skirt and had the traditional princess dress and then I took it off for the reception and had a more fitted look. I tried on a number of dresses when I went wedding dress shopping, but I knew it was the one the minute I put it on as it made me feel like a princess for the day.”
