Hey people! I guess I am the last one to review this but better late than never! I am in love with the lip crayons these days. They are easy to carry around and the formula is lighter than a lipstick or the lip gloss and can be used as a liip tint. Now that you guys knew why I started liking lip crayons, let's get into the swatches and review of the Revlon's newest launches in India. Their Matte Balm!! Before you go, you may want to check the swatches of Revlon Lip Crayons in Honey,Rendezvous,Smitten Revlon launched 10 shades in this range. But I found it easy to chose one from the lot. So, the one shade which stole my heart was "SULTRY"

Coming to the actual review,
Revlon has launched the very successful lip stain crayons last year and they were an instant hit.Following the trend there were many other brands abroad which launched the lip crayons in different colours and texture.But I guess they are all glossy and few are more of shimmers.This time, Revlon put a step forward by launching the crayons in matte and lacquer range. However, I like matte finish for work and daytime outings. I decided to own SULTRY which looked gorgeous when I searched online for the swatches.

The shade "sultry" The shade sultry is a color that can work for any kind of skintone. It is between pink,mauve,berry red shade. The mix of these colours basically. This looks more of berry red in the package. But looks super wearable when you swatch it.

The Package:
The package is exact replica of their Just Bitten Lip Crayons but the Matte Balms has a matte outer surface. It is not at all glossy and they are all color coded. I feel it is a very cool idea as finding the color from our huge collection is a lot more easy.
My Experience with the product:
You all know how much I loved the Just Bitten Lip Crayons and I was hoping that I would love these as well. The smell is just like their Just Bitten Lip crayons which is minty and fresh to taste (yeah, I licked it lol) Apart from licking it, I could even observe that this is amazingly pigmented.I loved the creamy texture more than anything else. Just one swipe and it will cover up the pigmentation on lips. This shade is just great for any skintone. But considering the summer here in Hyderabad, the creamy texture is a bit questionable.It stays on for 4 hours and survives small meals but once after that it starts to fade away leaving a tint on lips.You can apply a lipbalm over it to have a gloss effect.
The biggest problem with this is that it can show the liplines more clearly which is not really a good thing. If you haven't cleaned your lips, then your lips going to look more scaly and dry with this on.
You got to scrub off the dead skin cells off the lips before you apply the Matte Balm. Mix a spoonful of sugar along with olive oil and gently exfoliate your lips and then apply.

Pros: 1. Amazing Texture and Pigmentation. 2. Long staying power. 3. Can be topped with gloss for a glossy look and also can be used as a tint. 4. Matte look package which goes with the name. Cons: 1. Can settle into fine lines and exfoliation is a must when you apply. 2. Price can be a con too. 800 INR is pretty much for a drugstore brand. Final Words: The formula is quite different and you can try one from this range. Compared with the lacquer ones,you may try this for a different experience.You know the glossy stick is no more glossy but matte! But girls who are lazy to exfoliate or who have severe dry lips, you can skip this one.
