Description:
THEY'RE GALAXIES APART...
Even for a Zetithian, Tarq Zulveidinoe's sexual prowess is legendary. Believing it's all he's good for, Tarq sets out to perpetuate his threatened species by offering his services to women across the galaxy...
BUT ONE FORCE CAN BRING THEM TOGETHER...
Lucinda Force is the sensitive dark horse in a self-absorbed family, repeatedly told that no man will ever want such a plain woman. Lucy longs for romance, but is resigned to her loveless lot in life-until Tarq walks through the door of her father's restaurant on Talus Five...
My Rating:
Review: Stud
The Zetithian race is almost extinct and since Tarq believes he has nothing else to offer but sexual enjoyment, he travels around the galaxy impregnating women volunteers.  Lucinda is tired of the abuse and control of her family.  She does the same thing day after day and feels her life is making no progress.  She wants to strike off with her family and start a family of her own.  After meeting Tarq at work, she volunteers for lots of fun.  One thing leads to another and they connect in more ways than one.  When Lucinda tries to escape her family both her and Tarq run into lots of trouble.
I've only read one other book in the Cat Star Chronicles and I was pleasantly surprised at what I found. It made me look for any other book in this series I could find so I latched on Stud.  It was available.  So was I.  I was also surprised with this but it wasn't quite so pleasant.  The premise was pretty basic and the romance wasn't so great.  I guess it's normal in this series for the men to have such low self-esteem but Tarq just drove me mad.  He believed he had little worth because he believed he was stupid.  Lucinda was okay but didn't really stand out.
Overall, I was disappointed and a bit bored with this one.
