HONOR AMONG ROGUES Alexander Edgware, Lord Xavier, has quite a reputation- for daring, wagering, and wickedness in all its delightful forms. But the wager before him is hardly his preferred sport: Xavier must persuade a proper young lady to at- tend his famously naughty Christmas house party-and stay the full, ruinous two weeks. Worse, the lady is Louisa Oliver, a doe-eyed bookworm Xavier finds quite charming. Yet to refuse the challenge is impossible-he will simply have to appoint himself Miss Oliver's protec- tor... MISCHIEF AMONG MISSES Louisa knows her chance for a husband has passed. But she has no desire to retire into spinsterhood without enjoying a few grand adventures first. When Lord Xavi- er's invitation arrives, Louisa is more intrigued than insulted. And once inside the rogues' gallery, she just may have a thing or two to teach her gentlemen friends about daring... Fact or Fiction?

Season for Surrender plays with the reader and adds facts to its fiction in a clever manner, containing several events.
I didn't particularly liked some of the characters and found them a bit irritating, but the interaction between the couple was really good. I didn't read the first book in the series, and I don't believe I found the background stories lacking any important element. The only thing that left me wondering is how they ended up having so many scenes alone without a chaperone!!
There was a comprehensible, believable, but surprising turn of events. It was right there but we didn't want to see, just like the hero did. It was an incredible antagonist development.
I wasn't pleased with the serious pacing issues: too many long scenes and the plot dragged a lot, wich lead to a lack of tension by the end of the book. Some tension and other important moments were overshadowed by the structure. The novel could have been shorter and still contain the full story, to captivate the reader more.
My problems with this book could easily be something the author can improve. The story itself was neatly done, including the charming ending.
