Review | JORD Ely Black Watch
Good morning! Today I have a little review for you all, it's something a little different and not toddler related, but is something I have seriously fallen in love with. Last month we were contacted by JORD and asked to choose a product of theirs to review, so as Fathers Day was coming up, I decided to let Ben choose which one he preferred and gave it to him from Abbie as a gift!

JORD watches are nothing like you've seen before, the one thing you'll notice straight away is they are made from wood! The finest quality, the most beautiful finish and style which is guided by a dee appreciation for natural elements and moder design. I couldn't believe just how different each watch could be, it was so so hard to choose which one to go for, Ben was going back and forth on three in particular and spent a good hour and a half browsing everything! After finally deciding on one from the Ely in Black, the order went through and we received it within the week, considering it is sent from America, I was super duper impressed!

There are so many stunning watches to choose from, all with their own unique names and colourings, there are watches for both women and men, as well as unisex too!  You all know how much of a sucker I am for packaging, and this definitely didn't disappoint! Arriving in a gorgeous wooden box, with an easy slide off lid, inside you are then presented with your chosen watch, carefully wrapped around a soft cushion and a little booklet with instructions on how to get your watch going! "Jord was derived from our desire for a timepiece that modelled our modern lifestyle. Sustainable, efficient, simple, and influenced by experiential living. Jord owners don't just have somewhere to be, they have somewhere to go. We believe our watches tell more than time. The intricacy and multiplicity of the woods we utilize in our designs insure that each watch is as distinctive as the owner. Jord is a collective of artists, designers, and seasoned watchsmiths. Every watch series is planned with the expectation of delivering visible craftsmanship and unyielding utility. We choose our materials and movements with forethought. Consideration of best use and added benefit are central to our decision making process. Our methods ensure that our watches are not just worn, they're used."

When ordering online, you can download and print off the measuring tool to ensure the watch fits perfectly! I was a little apprehensive about it being accurate but i needn't be, it was the perfect fit and sat perfectly without sliding down! Ben has had so many compliments on it since wearing it, I think people are intrigued about a wooden watch and have to give it a second look, some have heard of the brand already but weren't always convinced of the quality, however seeing one in person has definitely altered their perception and a few have even ordered one for themselves too! Ben thinks its partly down to his modelling skills but i'm not too sure....

Ely is the complement to our Fieldcrest series, produced using a slightly smaller dial and band, with the addition of a date display. The simplicity of this design accentuates the intricacy of the wood grain. The Ely is understated and effortless.
