A page turner!
Hooked was the first book I read by the author. The conflict was predictable but I l oved the pacing, dialogue and the characters. It was romantic, fun, and sexy!
The chemistry and sexual tension were off the charts! However, I felt somewhat disappointed when their first time wasn't treated as a big deal when it finally happened, with little description and suddenly it was over. There was so much anticipation about it. T he sex scenes were very short and sometimes only hinted at, and I wanted to feel their passion (specially after all the insinuations from Jake), with the exception of the wall scene. Jake had some problems dealing with his emotions and t he author missed the huge opportunity to explore this during sex.
Sometimes I felt it had almost a fairy tale atmosphere to it, but I was so invested that it didn't bother me much. Miranda and Jake made a playfull couple and fulfilled their parts as hero and heroine. Hooked put a smile on my face and I had a great time reading it!
