Garnier BB Cream Miracle Skin Protector with SPF 24
My instant buy when I heard about it because I know BB creams are always worth a try. I hauled a few stuff along with this BB cream on December 17th and I have been using this BB Cream every alternate days since then. Read on to know what I think about this BB cream?Garnier BB Cream - is a dermatologically tested tinted moisturizer and has SPF 24. It claims to make you fairer, glowing, smooth, even toned and moisturized. I would strongly support it claims of giving glowing, even toned skin. The best part of this BB cream is that it is oil-free, doesn't have glitters in it and that makes it perfect for fay time application too. Your face becomes more glowing as the time passes, BUT there ia a twist...
.,.after 7-8 hours my skin looks a little darker. It may be only me and my skin type but it really happens.
Smooth skin is an illusion after applying this BB cream because it would not make your skin smooth like a perfect-skin-ointment gives and the same logic goes for even toned BUT only when you apply it evenly otherwise you'd end up having patchy skin. Patchy application means a little dry product which this cream is and that is why it does not moisturize your skin well but works much better if you use a moisturizer before application of this BB cream.
Tip : I like to use moisturizer+Garnier BB cream = application is smoother and more moisturizing afterwards.
There is an ingredient in world's best BB creams like Dr. Jarts - cyclopentasiloxane which is accountable to make your look silky smooth like you see when you apply primer [1] which I did not see in ingredients list. And probably that is the reason it did not make much difference in my pores size.Also, it hasn't made any difference in my skin tone.
Shade - is the issue for this BB cream because it will suit only medium to fair skin tone, dark skin tone girls will have to stay away from it. I didn't like this factor because Garnier should have kept Indian skin tones in mind before manufacturing it.
For medium skin tone girls like me has to really work it through to make sure it is absorbed by the skin surface otherwise it may look like a bad foundation-choice
Fragrance - It has mild and a catchy fragrance which does not linger for too long. I like the fragrance and it reminds me of something which is related to my childhood. I don't know what it is!
Positives -
- Pocket friendly
- Light
- Close to being a non fragrant product as the fragrance vanishes after a while
- With SPF 24
- Makes your skin glow
- Suits medium to fair skin tones
- You can easily swap your foundations for this.
- Easily blendable
Negatives -
- A little dry
- May not work for dark skin tone and makes my skin a little dark after 7-8 hours.
My final thoughts are that Garnier BB Cream is worth a try despite of a little miss here and there because if its price Rs. 199 for 40 g and its qualities to count are more than its negatives. Also, I liked it more than Maybelline BB Cream because it seeps into your skin as you work through. While Maybelline BB Cream has more shades to choose from Garnier BB Cream stands tall with just one shade.
