Review: Etude House Eye's Cream Mint Cooling

By Herugliness
Hello! ~ This is a review of the Etude House Eye's Cream Mint CoolingCream. It is a cream stick, which is something completely new to me. It's called Eye's Cream, which sounds like Ice Cream on purpose, because, when you open the first part of the outer packing there is a hole in the packing that makes the product look like an ice cone. The whole outer packing looks a bit retro-like and is super cute!

Sadly, once you remove the product from the packing it looks quite boring. It contains 6.5g of product and is kind of small. The cream stick is mint colored, quite solid, more like a balm, non-sticky and has a faint scent, which I cannot place right though. It doe snot scent like mint, which one might expect from the product.Etude House Eye's Cream Mint Cooling reviewEtude House Eye's Cream Mint Cooling reviewThis Etude House Eye's Cream Mint Cooling stick with a SPF30/PA++ sunscreen is supposed to relieve dark patches and swelling around the eyes and also to give a cooling effect.
No swatches, because, once applied on the skin, the cream is transparent, so you do not really see anything.
The idea of a cream stick is so great, it is super handy and so easy to apply, however, the idea is not implemented very well. The stick is short, but very thick, so I have problems reaching the inner corners of my eyes with it, because my huge nose is in the way! Maybe this is one of the many products that were designed for Asian faces. It does not work too well for me, but I can still dab the product into my skin at the inner corner of my eyes with my fingers, so this isn't such a big deal, but it would have worked better of the stick was thinner.
I cannot really say that I see any improvement to my super-prominent dark circles, but then again I never see with all the eye products I have tried so far. I just tell myself that my dark circles would look eve worse if I did not use any such products.
Since my eyes always feel so tired I was really looking forward to the promised cooling effect, so I am very disappointed to say that I do not really notice any such effect at all. Bummer!
To say something good about this product at least, I really like how it is non-sticky and not really visible. I can apply it around my eyes and put makeup over it, and it will not have any negative effect at all, will not make my eye makeup smudge or my concealer crease around my eyes
Overall a nice idea, but doesn't seem to work too well for me. Not a product I will repurchase.
