REVIEW: ELEMIS REHYDRATING DUO
Since doing my Elemis training at the end of November I've completely fallen in love with the brand. The products are so nice to work with and have wonderful proven benefits on the skin. At the end of the training we received lots of samples, 2 of these were the Rehydrating Rosepetal cleanser and the Rehydrating Ginseng toner. Over the past few months as the weather has  become colder, my skin has become very dry and tight so these came in handy. After finishing the samples, I bought the full size products.

The Rose Petal Cleanser has a creamy formula that's gentle enough to be used morning and night, it's very kind to my skin and doesn't cause any irritation. In the morning I massage 2 pumps all over my face, I then remove excess with a damp cotton pad. Of an evening, I apply two pumps to my hand and smooth it all over my skin before wiping away with a hot flannel, I like to then cleanse a second time just to make sure that all make-up and surface dirt is removed. The first cleanse easily melts away make up and dirt leaving the skin looking clean, the second cleanse gives my skin the ultimate clean and leaves it looking radiant and feeling refreshed. A huge benefit to this cleanser is that after the first use my skin felt moisturised and nourished, so if you're in a rush or forget to moisturise your skin is still left feeling nourished. I'm not usually a fan of rosy/floral scents but this smells lovely, this gives off a very subtle and natural, not at all overpowering or artificial scent.Toning my skin is a step I've sometimes been afraid of, in the past I've used toners that are too harsh for my skin and have left it feeling even tighter. However toning your skin makes it as squeaky clean as it possibly could be, closes the pores and also rebalances the pH to regulate natural secretions. Its important to tone morning and evening as in the morning it removes excess oils that have appeared overnight and smooths the skin ready for make-up application, then in the evening toning rids of any dirt or excess make-up. The Elemis Ginseng Toner is the best I have used, it has a really relaxing and gentle scent, it contains extracts which awaken my skin in the morning and soothe it at night. It contains skin loving, natural ingredtiets, including sweet betty flower, which is a natural toning agent and replaces alcohol that's found in many other toners. I apply the toner to a dry cotton pad and sweep over damp skin, over time through regular use, it has helped to rebalance my skin and soften the texture. The toner comes in a spritz bottle so it's handy to use for a quick refresh if you're having a make-up free day.

TIP: Always make sure that you apply your toner using a DRY cotton pad. Using a damp cotton pad makes the toner dissolve meaning that you aren't actually applying anything to your skin.
Over about a week I've noticed a gradual difference in the condition of my skin, it's helped to reduce redness and almost get rid of dryness. The products are a dream to use and are very kind and gentle to the skin. They're excellent value for money and are both 200ml, priced at £22 each. The bottles are sleek and compact so are easy to travel with, the design of the bottles is simple yet classic and isn't too over the top.
