Review: Cosme Decorte AQMW Styling Liquid Eyeliner

By Beautifulbuns

It’s been a while since I found an eyeliner that set my heart (and eyes) aflutter – and this one is it! I mean, just take a look and you’ll know why.

Insert the cartridge this end up into the casing (the ball works to stop the ink from flooding the tip, kinda like a ball-point pen).

As you click away, the ink slowly flows to the tip…

I say…

The Packaging: Clearly a highlight of this product – the gorgeous matt-lami contrast finishing on a metal casing exudes elegance. The cap is a twist-on one, which means no accidentally dislodging it in your handbag. At the end is a click mechanism that you press whenever you need extra ink – it doesn’t go “click click” as with other products though.

The Scent: None.

The Texture: Now what I love about this eyeliner is that it doesn’t smudge on my oily eyelids despite many hours of wear. What also stands out is the color of the ink – yes it’s stated black, but somehow it comes out looking like calligraphy black ink -somewhat matte and somewhat glossy at certain angles. The ink on the brush tip doesn’t dry up in between uses – it does however, run out, which is when you need to click the end of the pen for extra ink. I love that it doesn’t gush out – it just replenishes the ink at the tip, which somehow miraculously manages to stay tapered and doesn’t feather out. In fact, the only time it feathers is when it’s running out of ink, so that’s sort of an indicator.

The Verdict: Love, love, love this eyeliner. It gives a natural finish with one layer, and an intense black with several layers. It doesn’t smudge nor run, and has a precision tip for drawing any type of eyeline you want. The only drawback is its price, which at SGD45 + 18 = SGD63 is considerably astronomical for an eyeliner (when compared with mass brands that are selling at say SGD15+). That said, a little goes a long way for this eyeliner, and I do indeed love the finish and its long-staying power, so I will be definitely buying this again when it runs out. Got a Secret Santa? Tis the time to pull in the favour then!😀
