Review: CNP Laboratory TV Zone Care Finisher

By Beautifulbuns

Hello y’all~ how have you been? I know it’s been a while since I did a proper review, but hey, at least now you know the latest releases from Sephora this Christmas right right right? In the past few weeks that I’ve spent in the girl hermit-cave, I’ve been trying out this product, and I’m actually inspired enough to write up my review about it.

Now what exactly is the TV zone? (and no it doesn’t involve your living room). Graphically illustrating – the T zone is your back, and the V zone is the decolletage / cleavage area.

You’d be surprised but this area actually does require some TLC – I know from tough experience, because I’ve actually been suffering from blemishes at the TV zone for years – sad face-

The packaging is much similar to a long-ago Laneige blackhead remover

I say…

The Packaging: It comes in an elongated pebble-shaped bottle with smooth corners – it fits snugly into the hand but doesn’t seem to have much of stability (since the base is smaller than the mid section), and keeps toppling over. No biggie though – I just shove it in between two bottles of skincare to keep it upright. Press the side button to dispense the product (which comes out through a small hole at the top of the flattened spatula-like surface area). I guess this is to make for hands-free application, but because the surface area is kinda small (compared with my actual body/chest region), I kinda just gave up and just press the button twice, dispense the milky-white lightweight gel onto my body and then use my hands to spread it out.

The Texture: Lightweight, non-sticky and non-greasy. When spread out, it dries and gets absorbed rather easily and doesn’t stain the clothes. However, I notice that it leaves a very very faint semblance of a “film” – you can feel like there’s a very thin, almost unnoticeable film over the skin, and it feels a little bitty “tight”. You’ll only notice it if you apply many layers though.

The Scent: There’s a slight medicated / herbal scent , which I’m fine with. It’s not overwhelming and lasts only for several minutes after application.

The Verdict: I’ve never really mentioned this before, but I do have certain blemish zones at my TV zone – bacne, and spots/stuff on the chest. I’m not sure if it’s because of the constant exposure to the sun/elements, or because I generally never apply any skincare to these areas, but it’s been deteriorating over the years. It’s even come to the state where I have errm pores and spots (kinda akin to my actual face skin). Sigh. Anyway, of the several bodycare products I’ve tried (IDS Body,  orbis Clear Body lotion Cut), this one from CNP works the BEST. It’s been about 2-3 weeks and I can literally see a difference in the skin texture. It’s no longer as bumpy/uneven, the pore sizes have shrunk dramatically, and the skin tone has evened out thankfully. The packaging I feel is a little fancy – I appreciate that the brand wants it to be a handsfree application, but it somehow adds more hassle instead, since the surface area isn’t that large enough to cover the chest/back region. That aside, this is a good product that I know for sure I’ll be continuing to use. It’s perfect for our humid region, and especially for ladies with long hair.
