Review: Baby Color Summer Doll Blue Circle Lenses

By Herugliness
Hello! ~♥ Today I want to review a pair of circle lenses that has become one of my most favorite so far, the Baby Color Summer Doll Blue Circle Lenses. Before I start this review I want to point out that I have also seen these lenses reviewed by other bloggers in a vial packed version. They have the exact same name, but the colors seem to look slightly different than the color of the ones I have. On the vial you could see the URL babycolor.com, however, this site does not even exist. So I have no clue what is up with the vial version. Mine come in small cardbox packing with an existing URL, baby-color.com,  printed on them and are packed in blisters, the usually type of packings for circle lenses in Japan and these lenses were apparently produced for the Japanese market. Baby Color seems to be a Chinese circle lens brand (manufacturing in Korea? I am sorry I don't have much information here). I had circle lenses from this brand before, which I bought from a German optician (So, sorry for all of you who might want to know where to get lenses from this brand. Unless you live in Germany I can not help you. But I am sure you can find online stores through google selling them.), so I felt fairly safe using them, despite not really having much info on this brand. Type: Soft Contact Lens Diameter: 15mm  Water Content: 48% Base Curve: 8.6mm Manufacturer: Baby Color Disposable: 6 Months (as always, I don't suggest to wear them for longer than max. 3 months) The diameter of these is listed as 19.8 on the packing, though that's not the accurate diameter when you measure them the way Korean brands usually do. Contact lenses are curved and you usually measure them from one end to the other in curved state. Some manufacturers will give measures when the lens is flattened out, or even state a "enlargement effect" as diameter, because some lenses of the same diameter might make your eyes appear bigger than others depending on the design. So these are not 19.8mm lenses, however, they are still really big. I put them on top of my GEO XTRA lenses, which are 15mm, and they were pretty much the same size, so the actual diameter of these should be about 15mm.Design: The design of these is really beautiful. You have an outer circle, but it has small "spikes" turning inwards, so the circle blends a bit with the rest of the design and does not look too artificial. The rest of the design is made up by small colored sprinkles and a transparent area in-between them, so your natural eye color shines through a lot, making them blend with your eyes really well. Because they are partly transparent you can see the white around your iris through them, though I always thought, when seeing this effect on other lenses, that it looks really nice, just as if your iris was lighter around the limbal ring.Color: The color of these is supposed to be blue, but the small sprinkles are two-colored, blue and a light green.  Depending on the light, the light green part can also appear more turquoise-like (like in the official product picture) , but I really think it is more of a green shade. This makes them perfect for both blue and green eyes. I have green eyes and always so much difficulties finding lenses that match, because green circle lenses usually have such an artificial green shade. But this is a very light green and it blends in with my natural green eyes so well. Enlargement: The enlargement is obviously huge. My eyes never looked that big before. Comfort: The first time I put them in I felt a bit irritated and thought the comfort was just average, but I think my eyes just needed to adjust to how huge these are. Of course, the bigger the lenses are, the more uncomfortable they are. But afer my eyes seemed to have adjusted to it the comfort was really great, easily comparing to the one of GEO lenses! I really love these circle lenses a lot and am considering getting them in even more colors. Maybe I will try green next! (^.^)Comfort: ♥♥♥♥○ Design: ♥♥♥♥♥ Color: ♥♥♥♥♥ Enlargement: ♥♥♥♥♥
