Review and Swatches of the Anastasia Beverly Hills Glow Kit in Gleam

I don't even know where to begin with this palette because it is so good. I have tried a pretty decent amount of highlighters, but this quartet is at the top. Well, it is tied with Champagne Pop and Urban Decay's Sin. This palette just offers more versatility, which is always great.

There are now three versions of the Glow Kit. Gleam is the one best suited for fairer skin. From what I have seen of the newest one (Sundipped) looks like it could work for a variety of skin tones and That Glow would look stunning on anyone with a tan or deeper complexion.
There are four shades in each palette. Gleam has Hard Candy, Mimosa, Starburst, and Crushed Pearl.
  • Hard Candy is a golden peachy pink.
  • Mimosa is an intense, metallic golden peach. I have to use this one as a blush or blush topper.
  • Starburst is a cool toned iridescent pink.
  • Crushed Pearl is a silvery pink.

The pigment of all four shades is perfect. They have just the right amount of intensity without being too over the top. They are very easy to blend and sit well on the skin, which is the key to a great highlighter. None of the shades accentuate my pores or any dry spots, on the off chance I have any. If you have very oily skin, be careful not to use too much. They can pack quite a punch, so be sure to start off with a light hand.  None of the colors have chunks of glitter, just a gorgeous sheen with some shimmer. Of course the texture is also brilliant. They are smooth and buttery, but there is still a little bit of density. They kick up absolutely no powder, but when swatched they do flake a little bit. However, that is nothing to be concerned about when applying them. One of my favorite ways to wear this palette is to combine Starburst and Crushed Pearl on my cheekbones, cupid's bow, and just a little bit on my nose. It gives the most amazing glow.

The packaging is pretty cool, too. The highlighters come in removable magnetic pans so you can put them in whatever palette you like. I kind of wish the palette came with a mirror, but that is my only complaint. It is made out of sturdy cardboard and has a magnetic closure. Each Glow Kit is a different color. That Glow has golden packaging and Gleam has white and gray packaging so they are easy to grab. I can see this being a good product to travel with. Especially since it has all the highlighters you will need.

Each Glow Kit is $40 and each pan is 0.26 oz. You get a good amount of product. I have used mine a lot and you can barely even see a dent. I got mine at Ulta, but you can also find them on the ABH site. I believe Macy's also sells them.
This is a great palette to get if you are new to makeup or if you are a seasoned pro. I consider this a must have.
