Today is the day for Elle 18 Juicy Lip Balm - Juicy Peach, another new launch by Elle 18 this year. These lip balms are filled with goodness of Olive Oil, Jojoba Oil, Vitamin E, SPF 15 and claim to nourish and soften the lips without making sticky. But did they impress me as much as Color Pop Eye Liners did?

Elle 18 Juicy Lip Balm in Juicy Peach is pale, peachy shade that looks beautiful in tube but a different story on my lips. Shade "Juicy Peach" is basically a shade with no color in it. S, if you have pigmented lips like me, do not expect it to give your lips a peach layer of shine. If you have pink lips, you will be happy to layer it on those days when you don't want to wear a bright color on lips.
Juicy Lip Balm is creamy and smooth in texture, looks glossy on lips when applied. But the glossiness fades away after an hour leaving the lips moisturized with a little shine. And this lip balm is one of those that creates flakes on lips after a few hours. So, the hydration stays on the surface and does not penetrate the upper layer like any other good lip balm would do.

However, I like it because it's under 120 bucks, texture is nice, has SPF, is easily available, provides hydration (not too impressive though). and comes in 6 pretty shades. If you follow me on instagram, you'd know that I used to own one of these tubes during my college days and I used to love it. The quality, smell and texture hasn't changed a bit!

I would take a step back if I have to recommend these to them who are looking for a terrific, hydrating lip balms. If you are okay with the re-application, take good care of your lips by applying basic lip balms that claim to only moisturize the lips - go for one of these shades as they won't harm your lips or make a hole in your pocket.
