If it hadn’t been for the guest stars, I don’t know that this episode would have been perceived by so many as favorably as it has been. Because to me, this feels like a throwback to the first couple seasons, when the dark comedy wasn’t quite as refined. Compare this to a Ben Edlund script, for example, and it just doesn’t compare. As much as I wanted to like this one, I felt like it was relying too much on the stunt casting.
