I have been a fan of 17 for a very long time, back from when I first started experimenting with make-up and needed a cheap way of trying out looks. I love the affordability and quality of the products
As part of 17's new spring collection, they have bought out two eyeshadow palettes to help convert you make up bag to keep bang on trend. I only have the Spring Fling palette at the moment. I love the packaging of the palette, reminds me of Paul and Joe actually - simple yet elegant and cute. It's just the right size to pop into your handbag and comes with a mirror, to help aid any emergency applications when out and about!
This is quite a hard palette to swatch as the colours are very subtle, very much keeping in with the pastel color trend. It isn't the most pigmented eyeshadow collection I have ever come across but is brilliant for subtle sweeps of gold, lilac and pink on your eyes, especially if you're going for a more toned down, natural look. It takes a bit of liberal application as it my eyeshadow brush (idk if it's just because it's Ruby and Millie, aha) didn't want to pick up much color at first, but with some extra coverage you can get a noticeable colour, as I tried to show in my recent make-up post.
Overall, you get plenty of eyeshadow for the price and if you are going for a subtle look, then this is a perfect palette for you. However, if you would rather have a much richer, pigmented colour, then you probably should give this a miss. I love subtle and in your face looks so I'm glad I've added this to my collection alongside my cherished MUA and Sleek eyeshadows!
Extra info for Boots Advantage Card customers When I used my Advantage Card in the kiosk, I got a voucher entitling me to a free Hide and Chic eye concealer (a personal fave of mine) when I purchased any 17 product, so make sure you go and check if you have that voucher available to you! There is also a current 3 or 2 deal going on, so you could buy this, the Hazy Days palette and one of gorgeous new spring nail polishes for a pretty decent price.
