Return of the Ring: Courtney Robertson Engagement Ring Goes Back to Neil Lane

By Raymondleejewelers @raymondleejwlrs

Another break-up for tinsel town. Here we go again. Got your Bachelor/Bachelorette scorecard handy?

Courtney Robertson has reportedly returned the ring that Ben Flajnick gave her at the electrifying finale of The Bachelor this past fall. The ring is from Neil Lane and is a whopping 3-carat dazzler…the cost is calculated at $80,000. Wow, that is one tough ring to return.

There is not a single reason she gave it back. There are actually two reasons. The first is that apparently Courtney got involved, over the weekend, with Arie Luyendyke who, are you ready for this, was the runner-up on The Bachelorette. Rumor has it too, that Courtney and Ben announced, a bit over a week ago, that they were parting. Since that announcement, Courtney has found greener pastures. She was spotted being affectionate with Arie at a restaurant in Phoenix. Now this happens to be the same restaurant that she took Ben to on the hometown date! Guess she doesn’t have a large amount of places to entertain people!

According to the Luyendyke’s camp, the manager states that Arie is not attached and he is a happy single male concentrating on his career in racing. According to Twitter though, Arie posted on Monday morning, “Why is dating so confusing? I need a rule book.”

The second reason she apparently is taking the ring back is that the rules of The Bachelor state that if the couple calls it quits before the first year ends, then the ring has to be returned to Neil Lane. Courtney would only get to keep it if she and Ben would have actually said “I do”.

Well, it’s too bad for Courtney and Ben, but maybe the Courtney and Arie partnership will work out. Then again maybe it holds yet another Bachelor/Bachelorette adventure ahead for all of us!
