Restaurant Review | The Bar and Eatery, Koregaon Park, Pune
Its 3.30 pm. I have just finished a meeting and I am famished. A simple snack will not do. Oh no! I am in need of a full meal right from starters to desserts- the whole nine yards. The Bar and Eatery is just the place for me to head to. An extensive menu, good tasty food, hearty portions, superb timings from 11.30 am to 11.30 pm and 2 TVs for me to catch the game are perfect.
I started with the salads. The paneer, mushroom and corn salad is warm and delicious while the apple and beetroot salad with balsamic vinegar is crunchy and an absolute palate cleanser. For starters the buffalo chicken wings were a treat. The spicy homemade buffalo sauce offset by the creamy blue cheese dip is a must try. The chicken teriyaki skewers cooked over a BBQ was just yum. Fish Amritsari had moist fish in a crispy light batter. The cilantro and garlic prawns were cooked to perfection with the garlic bits providing texture. There’s a selection of pizzas with no fancy names. Instead different hearty topping ingredients can be deliciously chosen. For mains chicken saltimbocca is the way to relish spinach and chicken bacon atop grilled chicken and topped with parmesan cheese and a brown sauce. Smoky chicken with a rich dark sauce and such a huge portion. My God I was in food heaven! They also do a really good surf and turf- tenderloin steak with garlic shrimp. I just had to try their signature chicken burger. It was a whopper and I just could not wait to sink my teeth in and devour it.Restaurant Review | The Bar and Eatery, Koregaon Park, PuneThe mushroom Quesadilla gave me utmost joy to see the gooey cheese form beautiful strands each time I took a slice. Desserts had some very interesting options. I narrowed them down to 2. The baked yogurt is their twist on the crème Brulee. It was fabulous- a nice mellow tart flavor with the crunchy torched sugar crust.  The drunken serra durra is a Portuguese inspired sawdust pudding with a real good hit of the coffee liquor. Savour both. The Bar and EateryShop 3, Power Plaza, Off Lane 7, opp Jimmy Hu Koregaon Park, Pune020 65000510
