Restaurant Review: Certo, Dubai

Dubai is home to some of the best cuisines in the world, and not just the delicious Middle Eastern, Indian and Asian you might expect. While the Middle Eastern food in Dubai is second to none, many travelers come to Dubai to experience it all, both the Western food and culture mixed in with the vast Middle Eastern lifestyle and culture as well. While Italian food might not be your first thought for dinner in Dubai, we were glad we picked Certo for a dinner out on the town and boy was it delicious.

World class restaurants are on almost every single corner in Dubai, and many are located within some of the nicest hotels in the world. Take a minute to seriously plan our your dining in Dubai and what cuisine you want to eat most, as almost anything you could imagine is right at your fingertips.

Located in the Radisson Blu Dubai Media City, Certo is an unassuming restaurant from the outside but absolutely elegant and gorgeous on the inside. While you might not be taking a stroll by the Radisson Blu, think about making a reservation for a meal at Certo if you are craving some absolutely delicious Italian food and a classy and quiet atmosphere.

Decorated with a relaxed and smooth atmosphere in mind, Certo is centered around a gorgeous bar and extremely impressive selection of wine placed in the center of the restaurant. An open kitchen gives diners the opportunity to see exactly how the kitchen is run and how their meals are made, an experience which we always like to see. There is something very nice and comforting about being able to see the clean and organized environment your food is being made in.

Paired with a delicious white wine, we picked our favorite dishes from their impressed and complete Italian a la cart menu. I started off with a delicious spread of beef carpaccio and Marina went straight for the lobster, one of the best dishes we had on our entire trip. The food was fresh, full of flavor, served promptly and artistically displayed.

One of the true fears of any Italian meal is being left uncomfortably full on bread and cheese, which happens more often then not, lets be honest. The dishes at Certo, however, we plenty to fill us up without leaving us feeling stuffed and even left us room for desert, which we simply could not resist. We chose to finish off the meal with a perfect mix of 3 mini offerings of tiramisu, served in perfect bite sized portions – perfect for us to share.

Feeling as though we were in the heart of Italy for the evening we were glad to booked a meal at Certo and would make a point to go back any time we are in Dubai again. Certo also offers some really amazing seasonal and weekly specials including one of the most impressive buffet’s in Dubai and specials featuring amazing dishes prepared around chocolate, berries or wine – all amazing reasons to give Certo a try on your next trip to Dubai.
